Much Burning Crusade was played.
anghouedd and I went out to dinner at uWink Saturday night. The food was okay, in my opinion. anghouedd really liked it. The touchscreen interface was pretty neat, though it crashed a couple of times. (And rebooted. And hey, MacOS. No, really.)
Their games were somewhat iffy, to my mind. The Yatzhee knockoff was okay. I won a free desert playing the for-prize version for $0.50. That was good. The trivia games, however, had outdated datasets with poorly-phrased questions. "Who is the current Secretary of State?" for example. Then, in a Wheel of Fortune knockoff, I had a 'place' that will be especially funny to you RPG types out there.
Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
Really. No, really.
It seems like a nice restaurant, but they have some bad seating arrangements. For example, they put us initially at a two person table shoved up against a four person table. If the two people on my side wanted out, I had to move. Then they relocated us. That was nice of them. There's apparently a very long wait in the evenings. Also, some things we keyed into the computer just got lost. They were still on the tab, but nobody brought them to us and it seemed as if there was nothing on their side tracking whether anything ever got delivered.
The place is definitely still in beta. Overall, I'd suggest people go there, because it's neat...but don't have your hopes too high. |

Heh. It does sound like it could be fun, but they need better data tracking. Still, I'll keep it in mind. | |
